 Commercial Insurance
Minimize

Any operating business; whether small home-based business, a large industrial manufacturing plant, or a professional services office, needs some form of commercial insurance.

Commercial insurance is a great tool to protect any business.

Commercial insurance packages need to be developed and designed to protect you and your business against the risks to your business, your capital and your assets.

Some areas of risk are:
Liability - This coverage is known as Commercial General Liability.  This covers areas of loss or damage where you or your business is held legally responsible.  This can include a customer slipping and falling in your establishment, or damage caused by malfunction of one of your products.
Property - This coverage provides protection against damage or theft of the physical assets of your business including the building, equipment, vehicles and stock and inventory.  It can also cover assets like your patents and accounts receivable also.
Personnel - This coverage helps to protect the people that work for you. Group benefits and health coverage increase retention and well-being, which can help reduce employee turnover and downtime.
Income - This protects you against the loss of income or Business interruption.  When your business has to stop functioning due to some peril beyond your control this coverage will protect the income you would lose due to this stoppage. Some coverages can cover you for as long as it takes for you to re-establish the levels you were at prior to the loss.
Directors and Officers - This coverage protects a company's directors and senior managers from personal liability arising from their actions while directing the company. While insurance does not remove their fiduciary duty, it does provide some financial protection from legal liability for a claim made against them for an alleged or wrongful act. A wrongful act is any error, misstatement, misleading statement, act of omission, breach of duty or neglect allegedly committed or attempted.
Errors and Omissions - This coverage is usually used in professional services firms, such as law, accounting, software and IT and consulting, to protect professional staff from the impact of errors and omissions in their work.

Once you sit down with a broker, he can help you assess your specific situation and tailor a package that will suit your needs.
